- Prepare, marinate, and grill a variety of BBQ items according to company recipes and quality standards
- Ensure proper cooking temperatures, portioning, and presentation of all BBQ dishes
- Prepare and handle meat, chicken, seafood, and other ingredients safely and hygienically
- Monitor food quality, taste, and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the BBQ station, equipment, and work area
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Monitor stock levels and inform management of ingredient shortages
- Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of products
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and service of orders
- Ensure all BBQ equipment is operated safely and maintained properly
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a BBQ Chef, Grill Chef, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of BBQ preparation, grilling techniques, and meat handling
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Ability to work in a fast paced kitchen environment
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
