About the Role
Alignerr is hiring back-end developers in Ahmedabad to build server-side systems and APIs for AI products.
The work may cover data pipelines, model-serving infrastructure, and scalable microservices handling real-world traffic.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role with an hourly structure and a commitment of 10 to 40 hours per week.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain back-end services, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Build scalable server-side architecture for AI training and inference workloads.
- Write clean, documented, and testable code.
- Integrate databases, message queues, cloud services, and third-party APIs.
- Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate asynchronously with distributed engineering, research, and product teams.
- Troubleshoot production issues, conduct code reviews, and contribute to architecture.
- Work independently on task-based and project-based assignments.
Who You Are
- Proficiency in one or more back-end languages such as Python, Go, Java, Node.js, or Rust.
- Understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Comfort with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker or Kubernetes.
- Strong independent problem-solving, debugging, reliability, and asynchronous collaboration skills.
- Clear communication and ability to document decisions across time zones.
Nice to Have
- Experience building infrastructure for machine-learning or AI systems.
- Familiarity with Kafka, Spark, Airflow, performance optimization, caching, authentication, authorization, serverless, or event-driven systems.
- Open-source contributions or a strong personal or professional portfolio.
Work Arrangement
- The role is fully remote and flexible, with the ability to set working hours.
- The role offers freelance autonomy and potential ongoing work or contract extensions as projects launch.
