About the Role
Air Arabia seeks a CAR 66 B2 licensed Certifying Engineer for line maintenance on Airbus A320 aircraft. - Carry out and supervise Line Maintenance tasks on Air Arabia and third party aircraft within CAR 66 B2 licence authorisation
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, defect rectification, and component replacement on avionics and electrical systems
- Review assigned task cards with Maintenance Manager to understand work, priorities, documentation requirements and cautions
- Prepare and perform scheduled aircraft maintenance according to assigned task cards
- Carry out aircraft test and inspection tasks to identify and record defects or damage
- Sign off maintenance tasks performed or supervised within scope of own authorization
- Manage communications with other Engineers and Technicians for proper coordination and handover
- Manage safety of assigned maintenance tasks, ensuring mandatory precautions are taken
- Provide supervision and guidance of Technicians assigned to support own tasks
Requirements
- Holds or has held EASA Part 66 or GCAA CAR 66 B2 Aircraft Maintenance License with company approvals on Airbus A320
- Ability to obtain unrestricted GCAA CAR 66 B2 Category License
- In depth airframe and engine systems maintenance knowledge
- At least 2 years experience certifying maintenance on Airbus A320 family
- At least 5 years experience in a Line Maintenance environment
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to obtain UAE driving license

Job Purpose
- Carry out and supervise Line Maintenance tasks on Air Arabia and third party aircraft within CAR 66 B2 licence authorisation, focusing on avionics and electrical systems.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed to required technical standards and accurately certified and recorded.
Key Result Responsibilities
- Review assigned task cards with Maintenance Manager to gain full understanding of work, priorities, documentation requirements and cautions.
- Prepare and perform scheduled aircraft maintenance according to assigned task cards.
- Carry out aircraft test and inspection tasks to identify and record defects or damage.
- Perform defect troubleshooting and rectification in accordance with Aircraft Maintenance Manuals.
- Sign off maintenance tasks performed or supervised within scope of own authorization.
- Manage communications with other Engineers and Technicians for proper coordination and handover.
- Manage safety of assigned maintenance tasks, ensuring mandatory precautions are taken.
- Manage human factors aspects of maintenance, avoiding task interruption and using proper handover procedures.
- Provide sound supervision and guidance of Technicians assigned to support own tasks.
- Maintain positive awareness of cost of aircraft maintenance, minimizing waste.
Qualifications
- Holds or has held EASA Part 66 or GCAA CAR 66 B2 Aircraft Maintenance License and company maintenance approvals on Airbus A320.
- Ability to obtain unrestricted GCAA CAR 66 B2 Category License.
- In depth airframe and engine systems maintenance knowledge.
- Good command of English for technical communications.
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Ability to obtain UAE driving license.
Work Experience
- At least 2 years experience certifying maintenance on Airbus A320 family.
- At least 5 years experience in a Line Maintenance environment.
