About the Role
Standard Chartered is looking for an experienced Auditor to join Group Internal Audit and Investigations, focusing on Corporate & Investment Banking. Responsibilities
- Support and participate in audit assignments across Standard Chartered Bank and relevant Group functions
- Develop testing approaches using Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Analytics and other audit tools
- Contribute to audit planning, scoping and risk assessments
- Execute audit reviews efficiently, within agreed timelines and quality standards
- Identify, assess and communicate audit findings, risks, root causes and control weaknesses
- Track remediation actions and validate issue closure in line with audit methodology
- Escalate significant risks, unresolved findings and delays where appropriate
- Support ongoing monitoring activities by identifying emerging risks, issues and trends
- Review management information (MI) and business reports to maintain awareness of key developments
- Provide subject matter expertise to audit teams on Corporate & Investment Banking activities and related risks
Requirements
- Professional auditor or business practitioner with experience in Credit, Financial Crime Compliance (FCC), Governance or Operational Risk
- Knowledge of Internal Audit (IA) standards, practices and methodologies
- Strong understanding of risk management, risk assessment and internal controls
- Experience evaluating control environments and managing audit engagements
- Sound financial acumen and analytical capability
- Strong written communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analytics in audit activities
- In depth knowledge of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) businesses and related risks
- Experience in Credit Analysis and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes is advantageous
- Knowledge of Corporate Banking products preferred
- Exposure to Data Science and advanced data analytics techniques is beneficial
