Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage client portfolios, day-to-day liaison, technical issues, and business development activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Develop strategies for complex technical challenges and contribute to team technical development.
• Manage large projects and ensure key deadlines are met.
• Design audit strategies and manage execution in line with engagement leader guidance.
• Advise clients on financial reporting and regulatory developments.
• Present to senior management, boards of directors, and audit committees.
• Maintain compliance with risk, quality, and independence requirements.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members while supporting their well-being.
• Encourage digital initiatives, audit transformation technologies, and alternative delivery models.
• Participate in interviewing and selecting candidates under PwC hiring standards.

What you will bring

• Degree in accounting, finance, or a related academic major.
• 8–10 years of external financial audit experience at one of the Big Four firms.
• Recognized professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, ACA, or CPA.
• Banking client audit experience is required.
• Knowledge of ISAs, IFRS, IFRS 9, IFRS 17, and financial services regulations.
• Strong project management skills and experience managing audits from planning to completion.
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to support collaboration, constructive challenge, and timely resolution of team issues.
• Arabic and English bilingual proficiency is a plus.
• Knowledge of audit technologies and experience with data analytics tools.
