Job Description
- The Associate, Reception works with the team to unload merchandise delivered by carriers, verify quantity and quality of products received.
- Must perform preliminary and detailed merchandise receipts and enter data into the store system using provided tools (e.g., HD phone).
- Must have a license to operate motorized lifting equipment (electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, order pickers, forklifts) for unloading trucks or moving merchandise from receiving dock to temporary storage areas.
- May also prepare orders using the Order Execution application.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand unloading guidelines to manage merchandise efficiently.
- Strictly follow receiving standards.
- Clean and maintain the receiving area (remove pallets, cardboard, use compactor and bin, clear area for new merchandise).
- Unload merchandise using appropriate equipment.
- Receive all types of incoming merchandise, including BOSS and special orders.
- Recognize and read supplier delivery slips, carrier shipping documents, UPC labels, and other receiving documents, compare to purchase orders for accuracy.
- Schedule deliveries and generate preliminary information in the receiving system.
- Count boxes and items that have undergone preliminary receipt to verify against the bill of lading.
- Identify damaged merchandise and take appropriate action.
- Place merchandise on shelves to ensure full stock availability.
- Place merchandise following appropriate safety instructions.
- Merchandise new items as directed.

- One year experience in receiving.

- Forklift experience, an asset.
Pay Range
- The pay range for this position is between $20.10 $21.85 per hour.
