Role overview
AECOM is recruiting an experienced Associate Structural Engineer for its Nuclear Power and Decommissioning Team.
The role combines structural engineering design, business development, team leadership, client engagement, and project delivery.
Projects include nuclear new construction and decommissioning work from concept through completion.
Key responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering design activities and provide strategic direction across projects and programmes.
- Develop and manage the structural engineering team and guide professional engineers through work packages.
- Act as a direct contact for clients, partners, and contractors.
- Establish or improve processes and procedures for continuous operational improvement.
- Prepare technical presentations and conduct peer reviews of technical submissions.
- Travel to various sites for project engagement and oversight.
Qualifications and experience
- Hold a relevant structural engineering degree or equivalent at Master's or PhD level.
- Be a Chartered Engineer with MIStructE or an equivalent institute.
- Have substantial post-Chartership experience and nuclear-sector or regulated-industry expertise.
