Job Summary

  • The Associate Director, Managed Investments role is a product advisory role supporting Private Banking DIFC.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for all Managed Investments related activities.
  • Focuses on enabling revenue and AuM growth through product positioning, client engagement, and distribution of centrally curated MI solutions.

Key Responsibilities Strategy

  • Support growth of MI business in Private Banking DIFC by promoting high quality product offering.
  • Assist in implementing group and country strategies through effective product positioning and compliant sales practices.
  • Contribute to achieving AuM growth and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities Business

  • Provide MI support to Private Banking DIFC by facilitating product updates, insights, and materials.
  • Drive awareness and understanding of MI offerings among RMs and Advisors.
  • Support local rollout and pitching of new products.
  • Act as key local point of contact for MI queries.
  • Build credibility with RMs and Advisors as trusted source of product knowledge.
  • Manage product activities for Mutual Funds, DPM, Alternatives, marketing, and sales campaigns.
  • Ensure sales teams receive adequate support, training, and marketing collateral.
  • Work with Proposition and Marketing teams on campaigns and events.
  • Manage all MI BAU activities including training new joiners.

Key Responsibilities Processes

  • Build and enhance processes suitable for MI business.
  • Engage with risk control owners to implement policies and control standards.
  • Ensure back end processes operate to high standards.
  • Work with stakeholders to improve quality, turnaround time, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Risk Management

  • Partner with risk teams to ensure risk management procedures are effectively implemented.
  • Develop and implement rules to meet internal and external requirements.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure audit findings are rectified.

Key Responsibilities Governance

  • Understand and support governance, oversight, and control arrangements.
  • Maintain adequate control environment to prevent losses.
  • Monitor regulatory and market developments and provide feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with Bank and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide policy guidance and product support to Wealth Management units.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification (MBA or Master’s in Finance) preferred.
  • CFA or CAIA required.
  • 4–6 years of experience as a product specialist within Managed Investments.
  • Knowledge of investment theory and practice, regulatory rules and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong foundational experience in Managed Investments.
  • Ability to identify need for change and adapt.
