Job Summary
FX and Rates trading desk role focused on adding value in emerging markets, ideally Sub-Saharan Africa and Egypt.

The desk facilitates customer flow, manages risk, and adds alpha through directional portfolio positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage risk within defined parameters and in a profitable manner.
- Price deals to win business and support the franchise.
- Contribute to FAB’s market-making position in the MENA region.
- Prepare marketing material and collaborate with distribution.
- Travel where necessary and cover long shifts.
- Handle large flows and risk with discipline.
- Generate trade ideas and write market updates.
- Provide pricing, execute trades, and communicate market conditions to internal and external customers.
- Support relationship managers in enhancing client relationships.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Degree-level education, ideally in Finance, Economics, or Science.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in markets.
- Emerging-markets experience, ideally in Sub-Saharan Africa and Egypt, is preferred.
- Proven teamwork and effective risk-management track record.
- Exceptional technical skills, product knowledge, and market analytical capabilities.
- Excellent numerical skills and ability to process substantial information quickly.
- Ability to operate under extreme pressure and handle large flows or risk.
- Technical Excel proficiency and ability to build and support trading sheets.
- Presentation skills, business focus, confidence, and ability to teach others.
