Role Overview
Lead cost management and quantity surveying services across client accounts and capital projects in the Seattle region.
Oversee complex commercial real estate, mixed-use, public sector, infrastructure, and other large-scale construction programs.
Provide strategic client guidance while leading teams, developing talent, and supporting regional business growth.
Delivery Responsibilities
- Lead cost management teams and interface with clients, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and owner representatives.
- Perform quantity surveying, cost controls, change management, commercial reporting, and project controls across project lifecycles.
- Advise on contracting and procurement strategy across industries, procurement routes, and programme-level capital planning.
- Drive best practices, improve procedures and tools, and maintain consistent delivery methodologies.
Leadership and Growth
- Conduct performance reviews, set team strategy, coach and mentor talent, and develop exceptional people.
- Track commission margins, fees, resources, KPIs, risks, controls, and financial forecasts.
- Develop market knowledge, build opportunity pipelines, support proposals and RFP responses, and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Maintain business management systems and coordinate internal and external audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in construction industry cost management.
- Subject matter expertise in quantity surveying and RICS certification or equivalent accreditation.
- Excellent presentation, verbal, written, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- A graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering is preferred.
- Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
Compensation
- The base salary range is $160,000-$175,000 USD.
- Final compensation depends on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity; bonuses and benefits may also be available.
Workplace
- The role supports projects throughout the Seattle region.
- On-site presence and requirements may change depending on client needs.
