Role overview

The Associate Credit Analyst works under the supervision of a senior manager and learns processes for evaluating the creditworthiness of clients and other external parties seeking services, solutions, or products on credit.

The role supports analysis of financial data, credit reports, and related information to assess risk associated with extending credit terms.

Key responsibilities

  • Support credit application reviews and analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other information to assess creditworthiness and risk exposure.
  • Support credit risk evaluation, credit limit decisions, credit approval recommendations, and compliance with credit policies and governance requirements.
  • Prepare credit analysis reports, risk assessments, supporting documentation, and customer account reporting.
  • Monitor customer accounts, conduct periodic credit reviews, and support credit limit amendments.
  • Support invoice creation, processing, submission, portal uploads, invoice rejection handling, and resubmission activities.
  • Assist with customer onboarding, customer master data maintenance, and collection of required documentation.
  • Support collections through customer follow-ups, invoice query resolution, and coordination of outstanding payment matters.
  • Identify opportunities to improve credit, billing, and collections processes.

Required knowledge and capabilities

  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required for professional client engagement and stakeholder collaboration.
  • The role requires attention to detail, initiative, a solutions-oriented approach, deadline management, and the ability to work with different personalities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of accounting practices and principles, financial statements, credit analysis, risk assessment, accounts receivable, collections, and customer account management is required.
  • Ability to work with customer portals, invoicing systems, and financial documentation is required.

Preferred qualifications and experience

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Entry-level experience in credit analysis, accounts receivable, collections, finance operations, or a related finance role is preferred.
  • Experience with financial systems, accounting software, or ERP platforms is advantageous.
  • Exposure to invoicing, customer onboarding, collections, or credit control activities is beneficial.
  • Basic experience with corporate customers in a professional services, technology, or multinational environment is preferred.
