About the Role
The Meydan Hotel is seeking an Assistant Security Manager to assist in directing and supervising security personnel, implementing safety and security procedures, and coordinating with authorities.

Responsibilities
- Monitor all daily Security reports and implement remedial action where required
- Complete detailed major Incident Reports and ensure they are forwarded to relevant management
- Cooperate and assist with other departments in all security related matters
- Assist in the implementation of the Hotel’s Code of Discipline
- Ensure all staff are aware of Lost and Found procedures
- Possess full knowledge of emergency procedures and ensure all staff are aware
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of equipment
- Adhere to specified hygiene and personal appearance standards
Requirements
- SIRA Security Manager License
- Minimum six years of experience in hospitality Security, Police, or Military service
- Minimum two years of experience in a security managerial or supervisory role
- Above average English fluency (spoken, reading, and written)
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Incident report writing
- Secondary level of education (High School Certificate or equivalent)
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Job Summary
- Assists Security Manager in directing, supervising and participating in all activities involving The Meydan Hotel Security personnel, who are engaged in the implementation of the hotel’s safety and security procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Monitors all daily Security reports, and implements remedial action, where required
- Completes detailed major Incident Reports, and ensures that they are forwarded to the relevant management
- Cooperates and assists with other departments in all security related matters
- Any other duties as instructed by the Security Manager
- Staff discipline: Assists in the implementation of the Hotel’s Code of Discipline
- Training and employment activity: attends scheduled training and participates in company initiated employee activities
- Lost & found: Ensures that all staff are aware of Lost and found procedures
- Emergency response: possesses full knowledge of emergency procedures, and ensures all staff is always aware of emergency procedures
- Equipment care: ensures proper care and maintenance of equipment in assignment
- Grooming and hygienic: adheres to specified hygiene and personal appearance standards of the hotel
- Attendance: adheres to set procedures for attendance and timekeeping
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, motivate, and guide security staff
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures, risk assessment, and safety regulations
- Ability to remain calm, composed, and effective under pressure or during critical incidents
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests, staff, and external authorities
- Good understanding of access control systems, CCTV operations, and basic security technology
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct when handling sensitive information
- Ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate security reports and documentation
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify security gaps or hazards during inspections
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by operational needs
- Security Industry regulatory authority (SIRA) Security Manager License
- Additional certified Security Management training (advantageous)
- Minimum six years of experience in hospitality Security, Police, or Military service
