Role Overview

Support the end-to-end development of restaurants from shell-and-core units through construction, fit-out, commissioning, and handover.

Work with design, engineering, contractors, procurement, operations, IT, marketing, finance, landlords, and authorities.

Projects must be delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with approved designs and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and delivery of restaurant construction and fit-out projects.
  • Maintain schedules, milestones, trackers, action plans, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants, suppliers, designers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor site progress, identify delays, and ensure corrective actions.
  • Conduct site inspections for progress, workmanship, quality, and compliance.
  • Coordinate civil, architectural, structural, MEP, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire and life safety, and other building services.
  • Oversee interior fit-out works including finishes, joinery, furniture, glazing, signage, and back-of-house areas.
  • Coordinate kitchen equipment layouts, MEP provisions, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Review drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, RFIs, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate permits, inspections, and approvals with relevant authorities and property stakeholders.
  • Coordinate procurement, monitor long-lead items, and follow up on delivery delays.
  • Maintain snagging records and coordinate commissioning, handover documents, opening support, and defect rectification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in construction, interior fit-out, hospitality, retail, or restaurant development.
  • Strong restaurant or F&B fit-out and development experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, consultants, suppliers, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of civil, architectural, MEP, HVAC, kitchen equipment, and interior fit-out works.
  • Knowledge of construction drawings, BOQs, specifications, project schedules, and site execution.
  • Primavera P6 experience is highly preferred; MS Project experience is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Qatar or GCC construction practices and authority approval processes is an advantage.
  • Understanding of restaurant kitchen layouts, equipment, MEP services, exhaust, and ventilation.

Work Environment

  • The role is hands-on and based around active restaurant development and construction sites.
  • The work involves a fast-paced F&B environment where project timelines and restaurant opening dates are critical.
