Role Description

  • The Assistant Professor of Marketing will be responsible for delivering undergraduate and graduate level courses in marketing, with a focus on both theoretical foundations and practical applications.
  • Day to day tasks include preparing and updating course materials, delivering lectures and seminars, supervising student projects, and providing academic advising and mentoring.
  • The role involves conducting and publishing scholarly research in marketing related fields, actively participating in departmental meetings, and contributing to curriculum development and accreditation processes.
  • The Assistant Professor will also engage in service activities such as committee work and collaboration with industry partners to enhance the learning experience.
  • This is a full time, on site role based at Plekhanov University Dubai.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Market Research and Research, with the ability to design and conduct empirical studies in marketing.
  • Expertise in Consumer Behavior, with a focus on understanding decision making processes and market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Marketing and Marketing Management, including strategic planning, branding, and analytics.
  • Completed PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Marketing or a closely related discipline (ABD candidates with near completion may be considered).
  • Demonstrated record or clear potential for high quality peer reviewed publications and conference presentations.
  • Experience in university level teaching, with the ability to use diverse pedagogical methods and educational technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to teach and collaborate in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, collegial attitude, and commitment to ethical, inclusive, and learner centered education.
  • Ability to engage with industry stakeholders and integrate real world cases and projects into teaching is highly desirable.
