Role Overview
The Assistant Production Manager supports events and entertainment production for a state-of-the-art theme park entertainment department.
The role reports to the Senior Events and Entertainment Manager.
Event and Production Operations
- Operate the daily entertainment programme and support high performance, production value, and guest experience.
- Lead special events, marquee celebrations, seasonal events, external activations, installations, and dismantling activities.
- Prepare production books, documentation, progress reports, event calendars, asset inventories, rosters, and schedules.
- Manage entertainment assets and back-of-house areas, including warehouses and green rooms.
Suppliers, Compliance, and Planning
- Source resources, manage bidding, negotiate and maintain contracts, handle scope changes, and manage supplier relationships.
- Coordinate with partner departments and sister parks to address project needs and improve talent and technology utilisation.
- Secure necessary government permits, including DTCM, DCD, and DCAA approvals.
- Ensure environmental, health, and safety compliance and risk assessments for venues and live shows.
Team and Process Management
- Develop policies, procedures, SOPs, KPIs, milestones, and continuous improvement processes.
- Conduct meetings, performance reviews, appraisals, and roster management for production teams, cast, and crew.
- Identify development opportunities and successors and recommend team members for external training with HR.
Candidate Requirements
- University diploma with five years of equivalent theme park, theatrical, cruise ship, or entertainment production management experience.
- Five years of equivalent production management experience.
- Experience in theatrical production management, stage management, directing, designing, and/or acting.
- Stagecraft and/or technical experience.
