About the job

  • Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the People & Culture department, the Assistant People & Culture Manager is responsible for managing the full colleague onboarding lifecycle and core People & Culture administrative processes.
  • Assistant People & Culture Manager reports to the People & Culture Manager.

As an Assistant People & Culture Manager, you will be responsible for the follow

  • Deliver a professional and engaging onboarding experience, managing the full lifecycle from offer acceptance to completion and acting as the main contact for new joiners.
  • Handle all onboarding administration, documentation, employee records, and system updates in Workday, ensuring accuracy, compliance, confidentiality, and audit readiness.
  • Coordinate logistics such as visas, work permits, Emirates ID, travel arrangements, and onboarding related requisitions while aligning with company policies and cost efficiency.
  • Support broader employee lifecycle activities including transfers, insurance and benefits enrollment, and probation review processes with timely follow ups.
  • Maintain high data integrity through regular audits, reporting, and collaboration with Finance and auditors to ensure compliance with company standards and UAE regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of onboarding and P&C operations through process optimization, digitalization, KPI tracking, stakeholder support, and enhancing the overall employee experience.

As an Assistant People & Culture Manager, we expect from you:

  • 2–3 years of experience in People & Culture Operations, onboarding, or personnel administration, preferably within luxury hospitality.
  • Familiarity with HR systems, ideally Workday, and understanding of UAE labor laws and immigration processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Dependable, responsible, and proactive approach to work.
  • Good problem solving abilities and a collaborative mindset as a team player.
