Job Title: Assistant Manager – Regulatory & Financial Crime Compliance Advisory

About The Role

We are seeking for a client a talented Assistant Manager to join our growing Regulatory & Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Advisory practice.

This role is instrumental in supporting high-quality client engagements focused on assessing and enhancing FCC systems and controls.

You will work under the guidance of senior leadership to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide practical, implementable solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of smaller client engagements or support key workstreams on medium to large-scale projects.
  • Conduct independent FCC assessments, including AML Program Assessments and Internal Audits.
  • Perform gap analyses and execute Agreed Upon Procedures (AUPs).
  • Support the development and uplift of FCC Programs, including risk assessments, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with project planning, execution, delivery, and client updates.
  • Drive business development activities, including proposal preparation and marketing efforts.
  • Supervise junior team members to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and practice development.

Your Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Crime Advisory (Consulting) or within financial institutions (2nd Line of Defence with advisory responsibilities).
  • Robust understanding of the key elements of a strong FCC Program.
  • Familiarity with Financial Crime Systems, including Transaction Monitoring and Sanctions Screening.
  • Proficiency in drafting FCC-related policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of UAE regulatory requirements for AML/CFT, CPF, and Sanctions, or other key international jurisdictions.
  • Proven track record of leading small AML Advisory projects or supporting key workstreams on larger projects.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated business development skills, including proposal development.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
