Role Overview
The Assistant Manager – Receivables oversees accounts receivable, collections, timely customer payments, accurate accounting records, and credit control.
The role works with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve billing and collection matters and support cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounts receivable and collections activities and monitor customer balances, ageing reports, and overdue payments.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices, resolve billing and payment queries, and coordinate collection matters with Finance, Commercial, Sales, and Operations.
- Prepare receivables reports, ageing analysis, and collection forecasts, and ensure accurate posting and allocation of customer receipts.
- Monitor credit limits and payment terms, identify collection risks, and escalate significant overdue accounts.
- Support period-end closing, customer reconciliations, audit requests, process improvements, and team guidance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or collections.
- A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is advantageous.
