Role Overview

  • It is part of your role to understand and disseminate all corporate and hotel policies and standard operating procedures to colleagues.
  • Support and adhere to all policies & procedures relating to Safe, Sound and Sustainable at Mandarin Oriental.

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Support the outlet manager in all operational and administrative aspects of In Room Dining including order taking, trolley setup, and delivery of room service orders.
  • Enforce and monitor that all operational standards are in place at all times.
  • Create and maintain synergy between In Room Dining and other F&B outlets and Rooms Division departments.
  • Assist in coordinating placement of guest amenities and manage minibar operation.
  • Supervise side duty schedules and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of the outlet and conduct walk throughs.
  • Identify areas for improvement in service and food quality.
  • Assist in planning and executing special promotional activities.

Colleague Relations

  • Provide leadership, direction and support to all outlet colleagues.
  • Focus on training of order takers to ensure smooth interaction and upselling.
  • Ensure grooming and appearance standards are maintained.
  • Assist in preparing weekly roster to schedule colleagues effectively.
  • Conduct counselling and disciplinary action as appropriate.
  • Encourage inter departmental communication within and beyond F&B division.

Guest Relations

  • Personally monitor and follow through on requirements of VIP guests.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction from arrival to departure in accordance with MOHG standards.
  • Drive team to create WOW moments for guests.
  • Handle effectively any kind of customer complaints.
