Position Summary
Install, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on hotel tools, appliances, and equipment.
Support life-safety testing, equipment inspection, guest repairs, and facilities operations.
Technical and Facilities Duties
- Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters and operate shut-off valves as needed.
- Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies while maintaining inventory and purchase-order logs.
- Inspect tools, equipment, and machines and enter work-related information using computers.
- Complete fire-pump and generator run tests and inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
- Assist with development of disaster response protocols and respond to guest repair requests.
Team and Service Duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Welcome guests, address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and maintain positive working relationships.
- Identify and implement ways to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.
