- Prepare patients and assist during induction, maintenance of and recovery from anesthesia
- Set up endotracheal tubes and arrange transtracheal jet ventilation devices
- Perform first level maintenance on anesthesia equipment
- Clean, sterilize, disinfect, stock, order and maintain routine anesthesia equipment and supplies
- Check anesthesia machine daily to ensure gas scavenging system and suction apparatus are functioning
- Position patients for surgery requiring spinal or epidural anesthesia with awareness of sterile techniques
- Assist anesthetists with starting I.V. infusion
- Disassemble and reassemble absorbers for cleaning and sterilization
Requirements
- Valid DOH/DHA License or DOH/DHA Exam pass result as Anesthesia Technologist/Technician
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Anesthesia Technology from an accredited University (Min 3 Years course duration) or Diploma in Anesthesia Technology (Min 2 Years course duration)
- Minimum 2 years of experience after qualification and registration/license to practice
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
- Excellent communication skills in English

Responsibilities
- Preparing patients and assists during induction, maintenance of and recovery from anesthesia.
- Performs duties under the direct supervision of Anesthesiologist.
- Ensuring properly functioning suctioning equipment is on hand.
- Setting up endotracheal tubes (ET) and Arranging transtracheal jet ventilation devices.
- Provides support for routine surgical cases by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia.
- Stocking self inflating resuscitation bags, breathing circuits and masks.
- Performs first level maintenance on anesthesia equipment.
- Cleans, sterilizes, disinfects, stocks, orders and maintains the routine anesthesia equipment and supplies.
- Checks anesthesia machine on a daily basis, prior to surgery, to ensure the gas scavenging system and the suction apparatus are attached and functioning at optimal level.
- Double checking instrument calibrations.
- Cleans equipment and stores supplies related to anesthesia.
- Ensuring the adequate stock of laryngoscope blades.
Requirements
- Valid DOH/DHA License or DOH/DHA Exam pass result as Anesthesia Technologist/Technician.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Anesthesia technology from an accredited University (Min 3 Years course duration) or Diploma in Anesthesia Technology from an accredited University (Min 2 Years course duration).
- Minimum 2 years of experience after qualification and registration/license to practice.
- Preference to candidate with experience from Maternity care hospitals.
- Valid Home country registration as Anesthesia Technologist/Technician.
- Valid Basic life support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
