Responsibilities
- Develop concept and detailed civil/structural designs for airport related infrastructure projects
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, layouts, sections, and technical details
- Design and coordinate civil works including buildings, pavements, drainage, and utility infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with GCAA, ICAO, UAE Civil Defence, and Municipality regulations
- Prepare detailed Scope of Work (SoW) documents for CAPEX projects
- Develop technical specifications for civil and structural works, runway, taxiway, apron rehabilitation, cargo buildings, hangars
- Conduct site inspections and verify contractor compliance with approved standards
- Prepare RFPs and Tender Documentation
- Develop Employer's Requirements for Design & Build projects
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates
- Review contractor designs, shop drawings, and technical submissions
- Prepare technical reports, design briefs, and concept notes
Requirements
- Experience in civil/structural design for airport related infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of GCAA, ICAO, UAE Civil Defence, and Municipality regulations
- Experience with FIDIC based contracts and tender documentation

Design & Technical Development
- Develop concept and detailed civil/structural designs for airport related infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, layouts, sections, and technical details.
- Design and coordinate civil works including buildings, pavements, drainage, and utility infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with GCAA, ICAO, UAE Civil Defence, and Municipality regulations.
Scope & Specification Development
- Prepare detailed Scope of Work (SoW) documents for CAPEX projects.
- Develop technical specifications for Civil and Structural Works, Runway, Taxiway & Apron Rehabilitation, Cargo Buildings & Industrial Facilities, Hangars and Support Infrastructure.
- Define performance based requirements and material specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and verify contractor compliance with approved standards.
Tender & Contract Documentation
- Prepare RFPs and Tender Documentation.
- Develop Employer's Requirements for Design & Build projects.
- Assist in preparing FIDIC based contracts, Special Conditions of Contract, Technical Compliance Matrices.
- Support tender evaluation and contractor selection processes.
BOQ & Cost Estimation
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Develop cost estimates and rate analysis.
- Review contractor quotations and commercial submissions.
Technical Review & Coordination
- Review contractor designs, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
- Participate in pre bid meetings and tender evaluations.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare technical reports, design briefs, and concept notes.
- Maintain project documentation and records.
- Support submissions to authorities such as GCAA and Civil Defense.
- Prepare construction progress reports based on site inspections.
