- Deliver assigned technical tasks and deliverables across solution development projects
- Support Smart Manufacturing / Digital Transformation training efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's in chemical engineering or related engineering discipline
- Minimum 7 10 years of industrial process experience in process operations, engineering, or related software/automation work
- Hands on experience with AI/ML applications in an industrial setting
- Working knowledge of AI/ML methods and model lifecycle
- Strong problem solving skills with emphasis on solution development
- Willingness to travel throughout YMA region and globally

Job Purpose
- The AI/ML Process Engineer supports design and delivery of AI/ML based process solutions for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other process industry domains.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Support technical analysis leveraging AI/ML and Digital Twin technology
- Contribute to solution designs and develop detailed design specifications
- Help capture functional requirements through client interviews and process mapping
- Support development of business cases for focused AI applications
- Engage with customers alongside senior consultants
- Deliver assigned technical tasks and deliverables
- Apply AI best practice approaches and standards
- Support Smart Manufacturing / Digital Transformation training efforts
- Work with sales personnel to position solutions
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor's or master's in chemical engineering preferred
- Minimum 7 10 years of industrial process experience
- Hands on experience with AI/ML applications in industrial setting
- Working knowledge of AI/ML methods and model lifecycle
- Strong problem solving skills
- Work location: Yokogawa Global AI CoE Centre, UAE
- Willing to travel throughout YMA region and globally
Competencies & Skills
- Strong exposure to Machine Learning technologies
- Working knowledge of advanced process applications (MPA/APC/RTO)
- Working knowledge of Python, R, and common ML frameworks
- Knowledge of IIoT integration concepts
- Up to date awareness of AI and Digital Twin market trends
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or specialty chemicals domains
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem solving orientation
