Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data on fuel consumption, energy use, and emissions to generate actionable insights
- Prepare and publish reports on compliance status, emission levels, and energy performance using Power BI and Tableau
- Conduct regular audits of fleet and department documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Engage with key stakeholders to communicate and promote energy efficiency initiatives
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and industry stakeholders to ensure alignment with standards
- Monitor and predict regulatory changes from bodies like the IMO
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate personnel on new regulations and energy efficiency practices
- Represent the organization at industry forums and conferences related to energy optimization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years in energy management with significant advisory experience in the maritime industry
- Proven expertise in providing strategic advice and leading energy optimization initiatives
- Advanced skills in Power BI and Microsoft Excel for energy performance monitoring
- Strong knowledge of English, both spoken and written
- Preferred: Advanced degree (e.g., Master's) in relevant discipline
- Preferred: Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or ISO 50001 Lead Auditor Certification

Job Specific Accountabilities Part 1
- Collect and analyze data on fuel consumption, energy use, and emissions.
- Prepare and publish reports on compliance status, emission levels, and energy performance using Power BI and Tableau.
- Conduct regular audits of fleet and department documentation.
- Engage with stakeholders to promote energy efficiency initiatives.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and industry stakeholders.
- Act as point of contact for communication and reporting to regulatory bodies.
- Provide strategic advice to the energy management department.
- Monitor and predict regulatory changes from IMO and other authorities.
- Conduct regulatory assessments to identify gaps.
- Evaluate regulatory impact on operational aspects for EEXI and CII standards.
Job Specific Accountabilities Part 2
- Ensure cohesive compliance planning with detailed plans and timelines.
- Manage verification and reporting of emissions data to relevant authorities.
- Oversee entire document lifecycle for accuracy and accessibility.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops on new regulations and energy efficiency.
- Develop educational materials tailored to different roles.
- Represent organization at industry forums and conferences.
- Provide support for ad hoc tasks and assist Team Leader in coordinating operational activities.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Preferred: Advanced degree (e.g., Master's) in relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years in energy management with significant advisory experience in maritime industry.
- Proven expertise in strategic advisory and leading energy optimization initiatives.
- Regulatory expertise with experience in compliance and risk management.
- Strong strategic thinking and advisory skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in energy management software and tools.
- Advanced skills in Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
Professional Certifications
- Preferred: Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP).
- Preferred: Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or similar certification.
- Preferred: ISO 50001 Lead Auditor Certification.
