Since its inception in 2010, National Reference Laboratory (NRL) has expanded from a single standalone reference laboratory to a network of 12 state-of-the-art facilities across the United Arab Emirates.
NRL provides world-class diagnostic services to the M42 network and partners with more than 250 clients from a wide range of market segments, including private and government hospitals, medical centers and clinics, corporate organizations, and other reference laboratories.
The Admin Assistant supports the day-to-day administrative operations within the facility, ensuring smooth coordination between departments, patients, and external stakeholders.
The role plays a key part in managing appointments, handling documentation, and providing general administrative support to enhance operational efficiency and patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Support daily office operations, including scheduling, documentation, and coordination tasks
- Assist in managing patient appointments, referrals, and communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure smooth patient flow and service delivery
- Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and databases for patient and administrative data
- Assist in organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and recording minutes
- Support inventory management of office supplies and coordinate with suppliers as needed
- Assist in handling patient and family inquiries, ensuring a professional and supportive experience
- Provide general administrative and clerical support, including reports, correspondence, and ad-hoc tasks
Qualifications
- Diploma in Hospitality Management or relevant field (Bachelor’s degree is an advantage)
- 2-3 years of administrative experience, preferably within a healthcare setting
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general administrative tools
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team-oriented environment
