About the Role
National Reference Laboratory (NRL) seeks a Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist in Anatomical Pathology to perform and oversee complex histopathology procedures. - Perform and oversee complex histopathology procedures including specimen grossing, tissue processing, microtomy, cryotomy, and staining
- Ensure accurate specimen management, tracking, and adherence to chain of custody and quality protocols
- Perform, validate, and monitor H&E, special stains, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) while maintaining high quality laboratory standards
- Conduct quality control activities, investigate non conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Supervise maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and manage reagent and consumable inventory
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training to junior laboratory technologists and support staff
- Collaborate with pathologists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, accurate diagnostic results and efficient workflow
- Ensure compliance with ISO 15189, CAP, JCI, EIAC, and other applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, or related discipline
- Current professional licensure/registration (e.g., DOH, DHA, or equivalent)
- Significant experience in Anatomical Pathology/Histopathology including grossing, tissue processing, microtomy, special stains, and IHC
- Strong knowledge of laboratory quality management systems and accreditation standards (ISO 15189, CAP, JCI, EIAC)
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, or a related discipline.
