About the Role
National Reference Laboratory (NRL) is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist for the Blood Bank to perform accurate diagnostic testing in a high-performance clinical environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing on blood, body fluids, and other specimens using manual and automated methods
- Ensure accurate recording, validation, and reporting of results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
- Conduct quality control (QC) and participate in proficiency testing (PT) programs
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment in accordance with SOPs
- Prepare specimens, reagents, and control materials following safety and quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels of reagents and consumables to ensure uninterrupted operations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards (CAP, ISO 15189, DOH/DHA, JCI)
- Collaborate with internal teams to support efficient laboratory workflow and patient care
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Biology, or equivalent
- Valid DOH/DHA license (or eligibility) as a Medical Laboratory Technologist
- Experience working in an accredited clinical laboratory (CAP, ISO 15189 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and quality standards
- Proficiency in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and basic IT tools
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team oriented environment

- The Medical Laboratory Technologist General plays a key role within the Laboratory and Pathology function at NRL.
