About the Role
Cigna Insurance Middle East is looking for an Actuarial Senior Analyst based in Dubai to support the Middle East and Africa actuarial team. The role involves data extraction, reserve studies, actuarial valuation, and collaboration with underwriting and product development teams.

Responsibilities
- Data extraction, processing, reconciliations and analytics
- Support reserve studies for the Middle East and Africa region, including claims development analyses, assumption reviews, reserve adequacy testing and financial impact
- Development of reserving methodologies on both IFRS 4 and IFRS 17 bases
- Lead monthly and quarterly actuarial valuation processes supporting financial close
- Development of dashboards and reports to enhance the speed and quality of actuarial analysis and reporting
- Project claims cost, loss ratios and profitability metrics for forecasting and business planning
- Deliver performance analysis and explain variances between actual and forecast results
- Support the compilation of regulatory submissions and audit requirements
- Close collaboration with other teams including Data and Analytics, Underwriting and Finance
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field
- Good progress towards Associate credentials with either the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or the Society of Actuaries
- Commitment towards pursuing a Fellowship qualification
- At least four years of actuarial experience in the Middle East, with at least part of that experience in medical insurance valuation and experience analysis
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and data analytics (R, SQL, Alteryx or equivalent)
- Excellent verbal and written English competence
- Self motivated and results driven
- Good communication skills and strong attention to detail
