Role Overview
PFC Group is seeking a detail-oriented General Accountant with construction accounting experience and knowledge of UAE tax laws.
The role manages financial operations, supports compliance, and contributes to financial decisions across multiple companies or entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations, and monthly and yearly closings.
- Prepare and review financial reports, project cost reports, and budget forecasts.
- Submit UAE VAT and Corporate Tax filings accurately and on time.
- Monitor construction project costs, contracts, billing schedules, and cash flow.
- Maintain intercompany transactions and consolidations across multiple entities.
- Lead and manage a small accounting team.
- Work with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 2 to 6 years of accounting experience is required, preferably in construction or contracting.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CPA, ACCA, or CMA certifications are a plus.
- Current knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax laws, and compliance standards is required.
- Experience working with multiple companies or entities is required.
- Proficiency in Zoho, Odoo, QuickBooks, or similar cloud-based accounting software is required.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills are required.
- Candidates should be proactive, quick learners capable of leading teams and streamlining processes.
