Role Overview
The Accountant will work at the company's Dubai office and manage general accounting functions.
The role covers accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, revenues, tax, analytics, management information systems, and reporting.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax activities.
- Monitor balances and follow up on payables and receivables, including reconciliations.
- Coordinate monthly payroll preparation and facilitate closing processes.
- Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors and provide required information.
- Maintain balance sheet controls through monthly reconciliations and corrective actions.
- Review accounts payable balances and ensure accurate, clear balances.
- Manage year-end closing, audits, accruals, reserve analysis, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Execute month-end and year-end accounting treatments in accordance with IFRS.
- Support analytics, management information systems, and reporting for periodic closings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 3–5 years of experience in a UAE finance role.
- General contracting experience is preferred.
- Auditing experience is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 4,000–AED 6,000 per month.
Workplace
- Work location is in person at the Dubai office.
