Role Overview
The role is an Accountant within the company's Dubai office and is described in the body as a Senior Accountant.
Responsibilities cover general accounting, accounts payable and receivable, the general ledger, revenues, tax, analytics, MIS, and reporting.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise and administer accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax activities.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable and complete necessary reconciliations.
- Coordinate monthly payroll preparation and facilitate the closing process.
- Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure favorable company terms.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors and provide required information and documentation.
- Use advanced Microsoft Excel skills in accounting and reporting activities.
- Maintain control over balance sheet accounts through monthly reconciliations and corrective actions.
- Review accounts payable balances for accuracy and ensure clear balances.
- Manage year-end closing, audits, accruals, reserve analysis, and intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures in accordance with IFRS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Three to five years of experience in a UAE finance role.
- General contracting experience is preferred.
- Auditing experience is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 4,000 to AED 6,000 per month.
Workplace
- Work is performed in person at the Dubai office.
