About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant - Revenue Accounting for a fast-growing technology business. The role involves leading revenue accounting and receivables, applying IFRS 15, and driving process transformation.

Responsibilities
- Manage the end to end revenue cycle from contract review through to invoicing, revenue recognition and cash collection
- Review customer agreements and determine the appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with IFRS 15
- Assess performance obligations, transaction pricing, contract modifications and timing of revenue recognition
- Prepare and issue customer invoices, ensuring alignment with contractual terms and company policies
- Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable balances, investigating and resolving discrepancies where required
- Monitor customer ageing and support collection activities to optimise cash flow
- Support month end and year end close activities relating to revenue and receivables
- Partner with commercial and business teams to understand new revenue streams and provide accounting guidance
- Assist with VAT compliance and reporting requirements relating to customer transactions
- Support internal and external audit requests relating to revenue and receivables
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and automation within the revenue accounting function
- Contribute to ERP enhancements, system implementations and process transformation initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- 3 7 years' experience within revenue accounting, commercial accounting or accounts receivable functions
- Strong understanding of IFRS 15 revenue recognition principles
- Experience reviewing contracts and assessing accounting implications
- Background within SaaS, software, technology, subscription, cloud services, telecommunications, licensing or other recurring revenue environments is highly desirable
- Experience working within fast paced, high growth organisations
- Strong ERP systems exposure, ideally SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CIMA would be advantageous
