About The Role
We are hiring for a client that is a next-generation, AI-first commodity trading data platform revolutionizing energy commodity trading.
They provide market intelligence empowering traders and analysts across all energy verticals.
This is a hunter Account Executive role focused on driving new business growth and expanding the client’s presence in the commodities and financial data space within the MEA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the entire sales cycle, focusing on both new logo acquisition and expansion within existing accounts.
- Proactively identify and target new business prospects within the commodities and financial data space through networking, events, and direct outreach.
- Sell SaaS solutions to C-suite, VP-level executives, and trading desks, articulating clear business cases and ROI.
- Partner with a virtual account team, coordinating internal resources (pre-sales, customer success, marketing) to drive deals.
- Utilize value-selling methodologies, such as MEDDPICC, to align solutions with customer pain points and strategic initiatives.
- Structure and negotiate complex, multi-product deals tailored to specific customer needs.
- Develop and execute a territory strategy to maximize penetration into the energy commodity trading market.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to engage prospects and expand market presence.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and manage pipeline health using HubSpot and sales analytics tools.
- Consistently achieve sales KPIs and refine sales tactics to optimize conversion rates and shorten deal cycles.
Your Profile
- 5+ years of enterprise B2B SaaS sales experience, preferably selling into financial services, commodities, or energy markets.
- Proven track record of hunting, closing, and expanding complex, high-value deals.
- Strong knowledge of value-based selling frameworks, such as MEDDPICC, and ability to execute consultative sales motions.
- Experience working with cross-functional virtual teams, including pre-sales, customer success, and marketing.
- Ability to navigate complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders across business and technical decision-makers.
- C-suite-capable communicator, able to engage executives, financial stakeholders, and traders in high-level business discussions.
- Strong face-to-face networking and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in AWS Lambda and API Gateway, with hands-on experience in serverless architecture and cloud computing.
- Experience with Git and version control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
