Job Description
Media One Hotel is seeking an A/C Technician to install, service and repair temperature and air-quality control systems.
The role supports hotel maintenance operations and requires a hands-on approach to refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment.
Technical Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain hotel electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems, including freezers, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units and chillers.
- Perform preventive maintenance and check the performance of refrigeration systems, components, air-conditioning systems and chilled-water systems.
- Verify walk-in cooler and freezer door gaskets and latches, and maintain defrosting systems and ice-maker automation.
- Respond to maintenance requests and routinely clean fan coil units and air-handling unit filters.
- Work with engineering colleagues to detect system failures and complete functional setup.
- Control CFC venting, overhaul air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment, and check refrigerant and oil levels.
- Coordinate required parts with the Engineering Storekeeper and follow country technical regulations and safety standards.
Education and Experience
- A diploma in refrigeration-system maintenance or building services engineering is preferred.
- Previous experience in the same role and proven knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance are preferred or expected in the stated ideal profile.
- Good English communication and the ability to find faults and rectify subsystems are essential.
