Job Description
The A/C Technician installs, services, and repairs temperature and air-quality control systems in a hotel environment.
The role supports maintenance operations and provides technical service to hotel departments and guests.
Technical Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain, and provide technical attention to hotel refrigeration and related electrical and mechanical systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Check refrigeration systems, components, door-closing systems, defrosting systems, and ice-maker automation.
- Respond to maintenance requests from hotel departments.
- Clean fan coil units and air-handling unit filters routinely.
- Check air-conditioning and chilled-water system performance.
- Work with engineering colleagues to detect failures and configure system functions.
- Control CFC venting, overhaul equipment, check refrigeration and oil levels, and control major repairs.
- Inform the Engineering Storekeeper about parts purchases.
- Perform all work according to country technical regulations and safety standards.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- A diploma in maintenance of refrigeration systems or building services engineering is ideally preferred.
- Previous experience in the same role is ideally preferred.
- Proven knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance is required.
- A good command of English and the ability to find faults and rectify subsystems are essential.

- A self-motivated, hands-on, and flexible approach is expected.
- The role requires adaptability, reliability, customer focus, teamwork, and attention to detail.
- The technician should remain calm under pressure and adapt to unpredictable events.
