Responsibilities
- Supervise the welding and fabrication activities of the fabrication workshop with optimum utilization of resources to ensure safety and execution
- Ensure that welding and fabrication activities are delivered in accordance with international standards and codes as per Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and company standards
- Ensure welding consumables are used and stored as per company standards and specifications
- Track fabrication and welding activities in meeting the biweekly schedule
- Coordinate welding and fabrication activities during normal operations and in shutdown, ensuring quality and safety
- Check fabrication equipment and welding machines are maintained and tested periodically to meet company standards and inspection requirements
- Ensure welding gas cylinders are stored and used as per company standards and specifications
- Provide effective Toolbox Talks (TBT) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for all activities
- Ensure fabrication materials are used without wastage and remaining unused materials are returned to warehouse with necessary documentation
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in welding and fabrication supervision
- Knowledge of international welding standards and codes, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Ability to supervise welding and fabrication activities ensuring safety and quality
- Experience with welding consumables storage and usage per standards
- Strong communication skills for conducting toolbox talks and job safety analysis
