Structural Steel Fabrication
Elegancia Steel is seeking an experienced
Welding Supervisor
to oversee welding operations within our structural steel fabrication facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing welding activities, ensuring compliance with approved procedures, maintaining quality standards, and achieving production targets while promoting a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Diploma/ITI in Welding Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 6-12 years of experience in structural steel fabrication.
- Minimum 3-5 years of GCC experience in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes including GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and SAW.
- Proficient in reading fabrication drawings and interpreting welding symbols.
- Sound knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, and other applicable welding codes and standards.
- Experience in structural steel fabrication and erection projects is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily and weekly welding activities in line with production schedules.
- Ensure all welding work is performed in accordance with approved WPS, project specifications, and quality requirements.
- Manage and monitor welding manpower, productivity, attendance, and overtime.
- Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, NDT, and Fabrication teams to achieve project objectives.
- Maintain welder qualification records and support certification and training programs.
- Monitor welding quality, investigate defects, and implement corrective actions to minimize rework.
