Role Overview

Welding Operations

• Plan welding work schedules, assign tasks to welders, and monitor progress.
• Conduct welding inspections and ensure adherence to quality-control standards.
• Verify compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Review technical drawings and coordinate with engineering and production teams.

Team and Process Management

• Train and mentor welders.
• Maintain accurate records of welding procedures and test results.
• Identify process improvements and support continuous enhancement of welding practices and productivity.

Required Qualifications

• Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
• Welding and TIG welding skills with hands-on experience in marine, structural, or industrial applications.
• Welding inspection and quality-control skills covering relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Knowledge of welding safety practices, applicable industry standards, and welding tools and equipment.
• Experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, or steel or marine construction environments.
• Effective communication and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi and adapt to a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• A technical diploma or certification in welding or a related field is ideal but not mandatory.
• Additional welding inspector or quality certifications are beneficial.
• Offshore experience is an advantage.
