Role Description

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare and review financial statements and maintain accurate financial records.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, local regulations, and applicable accounting standards.
• Support budgeting and forecasting, monitor project costs, analyze variances, and provide financial insights to management.
• Supervise junior accounting staff and coordinate with auditors and external stakeholders.
• Help improve financial processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis, ideally in construction, engineering, or marine industries.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, plus advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and local regulatory requirements, with experience supporting audits and internal controls.
• Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Previous senior accounting experience, preferably in marine, construction, or industrial sectors in the region.
• CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional certification is advantageous.
