Role Overview
The Specialty Beverage Barista delivers a premium beverage experience through specialty coffees, smoothies, protein shakes, matcha, functional beverages and wellness drinks.
The role supports a fitness and wellness-focused concept through product quality, guest engagement, operational excellence and food safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare specialty coffees, iced coffees, matcha, smoothies, protein shakes and wellness drinks according to approved recipes and standards.
- Execute high-quality latte art and maintain beverage presentation standards.
- Promote menu items, healthy add-ons and seasonal offerings.
- Engage with guests and recommend products aligned with fitness and wellness goals.
- Maintain beverage quality, taste, portioning and presentation consistency.
- Operate POS systems and process transactions efficiently.
- Monitor stock, support inventory counts and follow FIFO procedures.
- Maintain clean workstations, equipment and service areas.
- Comply with HACCP, food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Support opening, closing and daily operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a specialty coffee shop, wellness café, fitness club café or premium food and beverage concept.
- Experience preparing specialty coffees, smoothies, protein shakes and functional beverages.
- Food Safety or HACCP certification is preferred.
- Experience in a health, fitness or wellness-focused brand is highly desirable.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of coffee extraction, espresso machines and brewing techniques.
- Advanced latte art and beverage garnishing skills.
- Knowledge of smoothie preparation, nutritional beverages and healthy lifestyle concepts.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic inventory management and stock control knowledge.
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash handling.

Guest focus, attention to detail, quality orientation, teamwork, initiative, professionalism and adaptability are identified as core competencies.
The preferred candidate has a passion for fitness, health and wellness and expertise in specialty coffee, latte art, smoothie production, beverage presentation and guest engagement.
