Job Purpose
Ensure warranty and insurance activities are completed according to contracts and QatarEnergy LNG procedures.
Protect company and shareholder interests through effective warranty coverage, claims handling, and recovery.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Represent the company with project contractors, vendors, and suppliers to enforce warranty coverage.
- Prepare and complete insurance claims to obtain fair settlements.
- Develop warranty procedures that capture contractual requirements and are easy to follow.
- Coordinate with operations and other departments on warranty procedures and contractor responsibilities.
- Transfer warranty ownership from project teams to the operating company before project demobilization.
- Train departments on the company warranty process.
- Notify contractors of defects or deficiencies and coordinate remedies and recovery.
- Implement contractor plans to remedy defects and ensure timely resolution.
- Work with legal, contracts, and finance teams on disputes and recovery of company expenditures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Eight years of experience in engineering, business development, project management, commercial negotiations, and/or warranties.
- At least three years of the required experience must be in the oil and gas industry.
- Ability to work effectively in a technically complex and multi-venture environment.
