A restaurant in Muwaileh is hiring a Waitress cum Cashier for immediate employment.
The role combines table service, customer support, order taking, POS operation and payment collection.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent wait service and customer service to ensure satisfaction.
- Take customer orders and deliver food and beverages.
- Make menu recommendations and answer questions about portions, ingredients and potential food allergies.
- Prepare tables with linens, silverware and glasses.
- Inform customers about daily specials and recommend menu items.
- Upsell additional products when appropriate.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using POS software, order slips or memorization.
- Check customer IDs where required for alcoholic beverage consumption.
- Communicate order details to kitchen staff and serve food and drink orders.
- Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report problems.
- Maintain tidy dining areas, deliver checks, collect payments and carry used tableware to the kitchen.
- Review specials, menu changes and reservation specifications with restaurant staff and follow health regulations.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a waiter or waitress is required.
- Hands-on experience with a cash register and ordering information system, such as Revel POS or Toast POS, is required.
- Basic math, attentiveness and patience are required.
- Excellent presentation, organizational and multitasking skills are required.
- Active listening, effective communication and team spirit are required.
- Flexibility to work in shifts is required.
- A high school diploma is required; food safety training is a plus.
Compensation
- The job pays from AED 2,200 per month.

- The position is based in Muwaileh.
