Join Swissotel Corniche Park Towers in Doha as a professional and customer-focused Waiter / Waitress.
Support exceptional dining experiences through attentive service, accurate order handling, and guest assistance.
Responsibilities
- Provide courteous, efficient, and professional guest service.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately.
- Prepare trays or carts with ordered items and accompaniments.
- Deliver orders promptly and professionally.
- Present bills and process payments.
- Maintain knowledge of menus, specials, and beverages.
- Recommend menu items and upsell when appropriate.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout service areas.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a friendly, solution-oriented way.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on order accuracy and quality.
- Follow food safety standards and hotel policies.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Food safety certification is required.
- Four- or five-star hotel waiter or waitress experience is preferred, while entry-level candidates with strong customer service experience may be considered.
- Excellent knowledge of food and beverage items, including wine and cocktails.
- Strong understanding of dietary restrictions and food allergies.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling bills and payments.
- Physical stamina to carry trays and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and hotel management software.
- Neat and professional appearance.
- Ability to work collaboratively and remain composed under pressure.
Working Environment
- Work in a hotel dining and guest-service environment in Doha, Qatar.
- Adapt to changing schedules and perform additional tasks as assigned.
