The Waiter/Waitress provides outstanding service to restaurant guests.
The role includes presenting menu options, making recommendations, serving food and beverages, and addressing guest inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests entering the restaurant.
- Present menus, answer questions, and offer recommendations.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Micros POS system.
- Communicate orders and guest special requests clearly with the kitchen.
- Deliver meals and drinks in a timely manner.
- Check guest satisfaction and provide additional assistance.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and handle cash or card transactions.
- Keep tables and the dining area clean and tidy.
- Follow health, safety, food safety, hygiene, and hotel procedures.
- Monitor restaurant stock and supplies and report shortages.
- Support opening and closing procedures and take reservations when needed.
- Monitor supplies and equipment while reducing spoilage and wastage.
Experience, Certification and Education
- High school certificate required.
- Two years of experience in the same job role.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Passion for hospitality.
- Teamwork and friendliness are required skills.
