Role Overview
Serve as an ambassador of gracious hospitality at Banyan Tree Dubai.
Deliver intuitive, personalised service and memorable dining experiences for guests.
Anticipate guest needs and maintain the brand's service and presentation standards.
Guest Experience
- Welcome guests and escort them to tables where required.
- Present menus, explain dishes and daily specials, and recommend beverages.
- Take accurate orders using the POS system and deliver food and beverages efficiently.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve minor concerns professionally.
Restaurant Operations
- Prepare the restaurant before service according to brand standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation across restaurant, service stations, and back-of-house areas.
- Reset tables, follow the sequence of service and departmental SOPs, and process guest bills.
- Support restaurant opening and closing procedures.
Food and Beverage Knowledge
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menus, ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods.
- Understand wine, spirits, and beverage offerings to make suitable recommendations.
- Upsell menu items and promotions while enhancing the guest experience.
Health and Compliance
- Follow food hygiene, HACCP, health and safety, company policy, and local regulatory requirements.
- Maintain high standards of personal grooming and hygiene.
Teamwork and Development
- Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and fellow colleagues to ensure smooth service.
- Assist colleagues during busy periods and contribute to a positive working environment.
- Participate in training and continuously develop product and service knowledge.
