The opportunity:
Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Operations, the Vice President, Advisor Platform Management (VP) is the business owner responsible for the governance, performance, adoption, and continuous improvement of the firm's advisor technology ecosystem.
The role ensures advisor platforms effectively support business objectives, advisor productivity, operational efficiency, regulatory requirements, and client experience expectations.
Acting as the primary liaison between advisors, operations, compliance, technology teams, and external vendors, the VP establishes business priorities, governs platform enhancements, manages vendor relationships, oversees platform performance, and drives platform evolution.
The role is accountable for ensuring existing advisor technology platforms remain effective, scalable, and aligned to business needs while partnering with Technology teams responsible for platform implementation and technical delivery.
Works closely with Technology’s Product Owner and Business leaders (Operations, Compliance, Finance, IT, Regional teams) to identify future needs and pain points to drive improvements/enhancements with the vendors.

Lead vendor governance forums, service reviews, and escalation management.
Monitor vendor service performance and operational commitments.
Influence vendor roadmaps and advocate for firm priorities.
Coordinate issue resolution and ongoing vendor accountability.
Establish intake and prioritization processes for platform enhancements.
Assess and prioritize business improvements, operational changes, and advisor requests.
Evaluate platform capabilities and identify opportunities to improve advisor experience and business outcomes.
Oversee implementation readiness for new platform capabilities and functionality.
Ensure platform priorities align with strategic business objectives.
Oversee entitlements, user access frameworks, and permission structures.
Maintain platform documentation and standards.
Partner with Compliance, Operations and Technology teams to ensure appropriate controls are maintained.
Establish intake and prioritization processes for platform enhancements.
Oversee governance and prioritization of production issues and platform enhancements.
Coordinate business impact assessments for platform incidents or operational issues.
Ensure issues are communicated effectively to stakeholders and advisors.
Track recurring issues, trends, advisor impacts, and improvement opportunities.
Maintain visibility of platform risks and remediation activities
Represent the business perspective in integration planning, ensuring solutions enable efficient advisor workflows and client experiences.
Partner with IT and Data teams to ensure that execution aligns with business intent and that integration outcomes support firm goals.
Provide business direction, messaging, and prioritization for training and communications related to platform updates.
Collaborate on the development of user guides, FAQs, and onboarding materials to simplify platform engagement.
Capture advisor feedback and partner with Training to translate insights into business-driven platform enhancements.
Support the firm’s risk management objectives by embedding controls within platform processes.
Partner with Compliance and Risk teams to conduct periodic audits and strengthen governance.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Range $150,000 - $190,000 annually.
This range represents Wellington-Altus' expected range of compensation for this position.
Actual compensation will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
Wellington-Altus' total compensation package for employees may also include discretionary bonuses as well as other perks and rewards.
