Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, and tune ups
- Repair and replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, clutches, suspensions, steering systems, and exhaust systems
- Diagnose vehicle faults using computerized diagnostic equipment and repair tools
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize vehicle breakdowns and downtime
- Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper performance
- Maintain service records, repair reports, and maintenance logs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and manufacturer specifications
- Coordinate with supervisors and spare parts departments to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Keep the workshop clean, organized, and equipped with necessary tools and materials
Requirements
- Diploma/Certificate in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex vehicle faults
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
- Ability to read technical manuals and repair diagrams
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
