Responsibilities
- Conduct daily market visits as per the assigned route plan
- Identify new business opportunities such as new outlet openings and new category placements
- Achieve monthly sales and KPI targets
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular visits
- Ensure proper in store merchandising following FIFO principles
- Ensure timely cash collection from customers as per credit terms
- Submit collected cash and cheques to the Accounts Department on a daily basis
- Ensure stocks received in the van are in good condition and match physical stock with system inventory
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless sales operations
- Provide regular market intelligence and customer feedback to the Line Manager
Requirements
- Experience in field sales and market coverage
- Ability to achieve monthly sales and KPI targets
- Strong customer relationship management skills
- Knowledge of merchandising principles (FIFO, planograms)
- Experience in cash collection and credit management
- Ability to manage stock and inventory
- Coordination with internal departments

Market Coverage & Sales Execution
- Conduct daily market visits as per the assigned route plan.
- Identify new business opportunities such as new outlet openings and new category placements.
- Achieve monthly sales and KPI targets.
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular visits and high service levels.
- Leverage relationships to drive sales growth, improve share of shelf, negotiate promotional placements, and ensure fast rollout of new products.
- Educate customers on new product launches, schemes, promotions, and trade deals.
Product & Merchandising Management
- Ensure proper in store merchandising following FIFO principles to maintain product freshness and minimize expiry, Good returns or damages.
- Ensure planograms and category guidelines are properly implemented during each store visit.
- Maintain optimal share of shelf and ensure promotions are placed in prime locations.
- Utilize POSM materials effectively to strengthen brand visibility and competitive positioning.
Cash & Collection Management
- Ensure timely cash collection from customers as per credit terms.
- Submit collected cash and cheques to the Accounts Department on a daily basis.
- Coordinate credit limit requests and ensure compliance with company policies.
Stock & Inventory Control
- Ensure stocks received in the van are in good condition.
- Match physical stock with system inventory before and after loading.
- Safeguard van stock to prevent damage or loss.
- Send load requests through the system and coordinate with the warehouse for timely stock replenishment.
Other Responsibilities
- Coordinate with internal departments (warehouse, accounts etc.) to ensure seamless sales operations.
- Support market coverage when colleagues are unavailable.
- Adhere strictly to company sales processes and operational procedures.
- Continuously improve market call effectiveness to enhance service levels, brand share, share of shelf, and collection efficiency.
- Provide regular market intelligence and customer feedback to the Line Manager/ HOD
- Share product performance feedback to HOD.
