Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Upholsterer to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, sewing, and fitting fabric, foam, and other materials onto mattresses and furniture frames to produce a finished, high-quality product.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and sew fabric, foam, and padding materials according to product specifications and patterns.
- Fit and secure covers, panels, and padding onto mattress and furniture frames by hand or using upholstery tools/machines.
- Operate industrial sewing machines, staplers, and other upholstery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring seams, edges, and finishes meet company standards.
- Repair or make minor adjustments to defective or returned items as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
- Work from technical drawings, samples, or verbal instructions from the supervisor.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily and weekly output targets.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an upholsterer, preferably in a mattress or furniture manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in hand and machine sewing, cutting, and fitting upholstery materials.
- Familiarity with different fabric types, foams, and upholstery tools/equipment.
- Good eye for detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret patterns, measurements, and simple technical instructions.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials as required.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Compensation
- Pay: From QAR1.00 per month
