Compliance Assurance Responsibilities
- Lead assigned activities within the Compliance Assurance Unit and deliver the approved assurance plan.
- Conduct risk-based reviews across assigned business and compliance areas.
- Develop and enhance an independent Quality Assurance and Compliance Assurance framework across Compliance, including UAE and international locations.
- Provide independent assurance on compliance programme design, operating effectiveness, regulatory adherence, and internal policies.
- Assess whether internal controls operate effectively and regulatory requirements are being met.
- Provide technical guidance, challenge, and quality oversight during planning, fieldwork, issue validation, reporting, and review closure.
- Identify and escalate control weaknesses, recurring themes, emerging compliance risks, and critical exposures.
- Support stronger assurance methodology, governance, reporting, and strategic priorities across the bank.
Role Requirements
- Experience assessing compliance controls, regulatory requirements, and compliance programme effectiveness.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and quality oversight during compliance assurance reviews.
- Ability to identify and escalate control weaknesses and risks involving regulatory, conduct, financial crime, or reputational exposure.
